Helping hand to the Birdlife of Australia

Members of the shed are currently working on the construction of 90 Finch Breeding boxes under order from the Aquatic, Aviary and Wildlife Department at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds. Their Senior Technical Officer, Bruce Newell is coordinating the project that will see the boxes transported to various regions in Australia to be positioned for the birds to use during the breeding season. Our association with Deakin University has been long standing and we are very keen for it to continue into the future as our members get great delight out of constructing items that will be of benefit to all creatures on this planet. Well done to Andrew and the team in the woodwork room for their work to date.
