About Us

Since our launch in 2007, the team at Torquay Community Men's Shed Inc. has worked tirelessly to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have members from all walks of life who bring their unique expertise and resources into everything we do. This is what enables us to achieve our goals year after year.

While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact. We don’t measure our success through just facts and figures, but through happy faces and heartwarming feedback. See how you can become part of the difference.

Our Mission Statement

The Torquay Men's Shed provides a focus for men in the local community to informally;

     - Develop friendships

     - Share knowledge and skills

     - Get involved in activities such as those

           * of particular interest to the group

           * and/or those of community benefit

We believe that men's health issues, including feelings of isolation and depression, are on the increase and one of the Men's Shed concepts is to provide a support group to help with this increasing need.

The Torquay Men's Shed is a place where a group of blokes can all get together and just "Chill Out".

Values

The Torquay Community Men's Shed is a place that has -

   *  a fair, flexible, safe and rewarding environment

   *  has the highest ethical standards

   *  is free from discrimination and recognises and utilises the diversity of the Australian community it serves.

   *  that values communication, consultation, cooperation and input from all who enter on matters that affect the Shed.
