After successfully applying for a Men's Shed grant from the Department of Families Fairness & Housing we were able to have the necessary funds to upgrade our dust extraction system in our Machinery Room as well as purchase a bigger Thicknesser. These have been installed and are working nicely and no doubt will be great acquisitions to our workshop.

Last Thursday afternoon we had the honor and privilege of Her Excellency Professor the Honorable Margaret Gardner AC making a visit to our shed as part of her tour of the Surf Coast Shire. She was accompanied by the Mayor Libby Stapleton and they met with and conversed with members, did a quick tour of our facilities and then joined in with our Singers and band in a rousing rendition of " I am Australian".
